PERSONAL SPEC SHEET · H.D / 2026Istanbul --:--

I like understanding how things work, then making them better.

I build systems, develop tools and take things apart until they make sense.

Now

Three things on my mind at the moment.

  • Running

Keeping day-to-day systems running at AKEL.

  • Building

Building Lumen around real sales and inventory needs.

  • Testing

Experimenting with hardware, automation and new tools.

Profile

When a need appears, I follow it to a working solution.

I live in Istanbul. At AKEL, I look after servers, networks, backups and user support. Sometimes that means finding and installing the right hardware; sometimes it means building the system myself. I'm drawn to the point where software, hardware and everyday work meet.

Things

What I finished, what I keep at, and what I can't leave alone.

Building

Lumen

Business system

I wrote it because getting at LOGO Tiger's data from a phone was painful. An open-source interface that makes sales and inventory usable on mobile.

AKEL Melamin

Ongoing work

Servers, networks, backups, remote access, hardware and user support. When something stops, I'm the one they call — and alongside that I build the internal systems that make the work easier.

Running

Nexus

Home infrastructure

My own git server, file cloud, ad filter and monitoring board, all on a Raspberry Pi 5. I chose to build it rather than rent it, which means fixing it is on me too — that is the part I like.

Pi 5 · Debian · Docker

Building

Command Center

Personal tool

It started because I was tired of checking five tabs every morning. The data layer runs on Nexus; a small macOS menu bar app shows the same data. A physical screen and a 3D-printed case come next.

Node.js · Pi 5 · macOS

Changing

Small experiments

Curiosity

An NFC board-game bank, 3D printing calculators, Telegram bots. Most stay unfinished, a few turn out genuinely useful.

Always changing

Experience

42 Istanbul piscine

Learning

A four-week intensive: C, algorithms, peer learning with no instructors, and a project to hand in every day.

Contact

Write if you want to ask something or build something together.

I read what lands in my inbox. A plain hello is fine too.

Notes

A few months after solving something I forget how I solved it, and then I learn it all over again. This is meant to fix that. Empty for now.
